Digital Representations of Analog Systems

Digital Representations of Analog Systems

This application note shows how to make digital representations of analog systems in order to implement control sytems or digital filters. It summarizes useful techniques and compares them using SimApp simulations. With this application note you should be able to take an analog controller design and convert it to a practical one in a digital processor.

Control system design often requires fairly tedious mathematical manipulation. Scientific Notebook is a software product that can be conveniently used to carry out the required algebra and matrix math. It was used to make this Application Note. If you are an engineer or student you can document your work for your project of assignment in a very natural way as you proceed. The Scientific Notebook file will soon be included here so you can try the software and make your own examples.
